Since this is a short week, the K team has decided to focus our lessons on catching up and reviewing!!!! Kindergarten is so busy that every so often we like to take the chance to assess the student's learning, reteach, practice skills, and spend some time catching up on things. We will continue talking about the letters S and M as well as discuss the fall season and fire prevention . Students will be introduced to our next popcorn word and work on all our Daily 5 activities. We also will review our jolly phonics sounds and motions. We have learned most of the jolly phonics program, so now we start to practice blending the sounds together, as we read and write words. In math, we will practice reading and writing numbers, as well as play some of the games we have learned so far this year.
Next week we will introduce the letter R. More details about that next week!
Just a reminder that we have early dismissal at 12:10 on Wednesday October 12th. Buses will all of their scheduled routes. Please send your child to school on Wednesday with a healthy snack.
